PERAVOOR SPORTS FOUNDATION(PSF) is an initiative by a group of Sportsmen/Sports organizers for the promotion of Sports in Peravoor. PSF is a charitable society registered under Societies Act 1860 and aims to work in coordination with various sports organizations and sportsmen/women in and around Peravoor. The town is popular for its rich culture in sports and PSF aims to provide a boost to sports activities in Peravoor and transform it into a Sports Hub by making the best use of and improving upon the sports infrastructure in and around Peravoor.

PSF offers Peravoorites, the opportunity to stay in touch with their roots. Many of our members have their ancestral roots her. And even you may not reside here or even in the country, but you can definitely make a difference by supporting the activities of the foundation through contributions. Currently PSF is sustained by a host of well-wishers in India and abroad. The people that support PSF come from a variety of professions and disciplines. However, they have one thing in common, the burning desire to foster change in society, promoting sports and tourism and to gift the next generation a platform that they can use to build their future upon.

Peravoor Tourism, Wellness and Rejuvenation
“Discover a hidden gem of culture, history and tourism delights”
Peravoor is rich in culture and has some wonderful spots to showcase to the world. It also boasts of some outstanding wellness and centers that offer curated experiences to rejuvenate and revitalize you. The history of Peravoor is related to Pazhassi Raja, a warrior prince and de facto head of the kingdom of Kottayam. He was one of the earliest freedom fighters of India. For the curious mind, there are many vestiges and remnants of Pazhassi Raja’s hiding places in and around of Peravoor. In fact, the Pazhassi Raja Kalari Academy is keeping his spirit alive. Peravoor boasts of some unique temples and places of worship. A visit to Peravoor will pleasantly surprise you with the wealth of experiences that it has to offer. The Vadakkeshwaram or Ikkare Kottiyoor (The Thruchherumana Temple) on the western bank of the Vavali river is a permanent temple complex like all other temples. It remains closed throughout the year except for the 27 days of Vysakha festival. The temple is situated in a densely forested area amidst a sacred grove that covers about 80 acres.
